the art school diet:  — 1 year ago
  • spend all money on art supplies, leaving little left for french fries and pizza.
  • walk everywhere carrying very large, very awkward supplies.
  • draw instead of snack.
  • drink too much tea.

i wouldn’t sniff at losing another ten. but right now? i’m just happy to have survived.

i was really trying to think positive through my plateau. my chiropractor says the aerobic activity is helping my neck and back muscles heal more quickly from the car accident. i’ve built a lot of tone in my legs, my abs are reappearing, my thighs are noticably smaller, i can go much longer and harder during workouts. i feel better, you know?

and then i get this comment: ‘she’s not always thin. she’s usually…your size.’

sigh.

i know i’m chubby right now. you know i’m chubby right now. but can we maybe not point it out like a big punch to my face? especially when i’m making a big effort, and you know i’m making a big effort? thaaaanks.
