~List 43 of My Favorite Smells:

Rain on the grass,on the trees, works a lot better than downtown… there’s just something about the refreshing freshness of the wetness.

I don’t know exactly what it is about this stuff, but it has turned out to be more than an excellent odor eliminator, it has some sort of fruity flowery scent. They say it’s “inspired by acai palms” but I wouldn’t know…

Just entering an area full of books sends me back into comfy memories.. seems like certain books were my best friends back in the good old days. I wouldn’t call the smell ‘musty’ like some cliché, its more like cardboardy. ;) And with all the e-books and audiobooks and tree shortages those days may be soon be gone forever. Unless I amass myself a bigger private library, maybe around my stairs, like in the picture there…

Sometimes I can smell these all the way across the neighborhood, and despite all my non-conformist efforts, it truly feels like a weekend when I smell it. Less lighter fluid is preferred.
They also remind me of certain holiday events, and in one case, of a wedding after-party.

I like this scent all over me, for those days when I’m walking around freshly showered, with nothing on but this green aroma.

I know, it may sound too easy, listing favorite foods, but this dish, with its sauce based on sugar and wine and soy sauce (and who knows what else) has had a major calming effect on me for several years now. I don’t even have to eat it, just smelling leftover sauce on the container it came in can inspire me to be creative, to relax, to feel at home… it is amazing. And of course I have to go to the exact same tiny chinese restaurant to get it made just right…

The men’s version, on me. Doesn’t make me smell like some old geezer or my dad, works for a long time and doesn’t turn bad later. I guess it works well with my body chemistry. No idea if it really works for anyone else…

I love the scent of Jovan Woman on a lady. Note that it is not “Jovan for Women”, which is more readily available, but not as good (to me anyway).

and the scent that comes off the fizzing bubbles is one of the most amazing intoxicating aromas that I have ever smelled. I tried to start my list off with something else, but nothing is so basic and yet so perfect. You can even microwave this drink for a minute and that works too.
