Breakfast at Bloomingdale’s by Kristen Kemp
Though somewhat predictable, this book was still a fun read. Teenage rivalry, escaping home, dysfunctional family, it’s all there, though in a bit of a different format. Still, there is the naive teen running to NYC, meeting a friendly stranger, and the like. What saves this book a bit is the sentimental aspect, as well as the main character’s inner conflict between being well behaved and being a bird-flipping, trash-talking bitch, so that you can’t help but love her a little bit.
