missed the end

I got sick with some sort of stomach virus this weekend and ended up missing my last yoga class. That sucked, but what can you do. So, in turn, my class is over, and I’ve accomplished this goal. I’m hoping that I can still take some classes because I really enjoyed it, but that may have to wait until I accomplish the goal of paying off my credit card.

one more to go

I have one more scheduled class and then I’ll have completed a this goal! I’m really enjoying it, even though I can only go once a week (I wish I could go twice, but I can’t afford it), and I’m hoping I can find a way to continue going.

back to class

Yesterday was my second class after a cancellation due to weather and a week that was already planned to be cancelled. It was just me and one other person, and at the end, the instructor stopped me and said, “I meant to tell you last week, because you mentioned that you were a beginner, you do good!” I know that yoga is all about just doing to the best of your ability, but it really felt good to be complimented in my first class!

My yoga class was cancelled this week because of the big blizzard. It’s hard enough to make a habit of something once a week, but having to skip a week in between is even more difficult.

first class

I took my first yoga class today! It was an hour-and-a-half-long class, geared for beginners, and I loved it! I had anticipated that I would struggle a lot, but I didn’t. My balance was good, and where my flexibility lacked, there were foam blocks to accomodate. A big plus of this class for me was that everything I needed was there – a mat, pillow, blanket, belt, and foam blocks. I signed up for a six-week course, so here’s to the beginning!
