become an interior designer

So, I’ve been doing a little salary investigation into this line of work, and it doesn’t look very fruitful. Parsons has online courses, but that would mean I’d have to take classes in person too.
At this time, I’m trying to personally detach myself from NYC and by November I should be gone.
I am definitely feeling the pull of this career though and what makes me even more excited is that I’d be able to work for myself and/or work overseas. :-)

Okay, so I still don’t know if I’m interested in decorating or ready to learn about design and apply it to work.
I mean, do I really want to be an interior designer? Do I have what it takes to do this or is this just something I’d like to practice as a hobby?
My mind is frustrating me!
