I had a bit of a blip about a month ago, when Ididn’t attend practice. Too many other things going on and feeling too tired. But I’m back in the swing of it now, and it feels as good as ever. Getting to practice once a week might not sound a lot, but it’s a big deal to me and gets easier once I persuade myself it’s just a routine and there should be no excuses not to go.

I started practising again after a break of probably 5 years. And it feels great! I’m surprised how much my body remembers, how good it is to leave the rest of your problems behind as you step onto the mat and the satisfying feeling after a good workout. I was hobbling around after the first couple of sessions, but it doesn’t take too long for the body to adapt. Now…just got to keep up that momentum :)
a new university job and new town for me too! there is an aikido class in the university here and one in the town too. i’ll check out the classes next week and see if my gi, somewhere in the loft, is OK or full of moth holes.
