We timed our visit before the lunch crowd and the line to order food only took about 15 minutes.

(Indio, CA) This is the place for date shakes! Founded in 1924. A 15-minute film “Romance and Sex Life of the Date” shows continuously during store hours.

We stopped here yesterday for a date shake after going to the Date Festival. The garden area was closed, the store was very busy and bus load of tourists arrived as we were leaving. This was our first visit to Shields in over 10 years.
