I’ve been back at it a couple of weeks now and have taken off what I gained over the new year. I can’t help but regret that I didn’t stay consistent because if I had I’d be ready for shorts season. Oh well – I can only go forward from here. I’m working the plan and not that surprisingly it works. I joined a e-group which helps me stay focused and gives me a place for encouragment.

Didn’t follow through on my tracking last week. This week?
There was wonderful spring like weather last week which made me realize I’m very discontent to go through another summer at this weight. I really need to get cracking on this goal.
is difficult. I was feeling discouraged about lack of progress and was out rereading my fav fitness site. Hmmm, out of 7 keys to weight loss, I’m only doing 3. So, my number one committment to myself is to track my nutrition this week and get better at following my plan.
I really didn’t want to after a liberal birthday week, but I promised I wouldn’t lie to myself and that includes owning up to what damage might have been done and stepping on the scale. Up 5 lbs. In one week. Ouch. Reality bites.
My goal for the holidays was to not gain weight. I know I could have worked harder and actually lost weight, but I wanted to be realistic about the stresses of the season and set my expectations. I’ve reached my goal – and now I’ll get back into my lunchtime workouts, packing my meals and snacks and return to the loss wagon.
In the last 4 months I’ve lost 29 pounds. Yah me! Obviously I seem to be doing something right. I just need to keep at it.
