Spent 8 days hiking through the Shenandoah before my buddy rolled his ankle, and we returned back to civilization. Make no mistake, this is no walk in the park. (“Abandon all hope, ye who enter.”) From my experiences, the trail can be miserably tough and grueling, and I just hiked the easy part. In the end, I learned a lot about backpacking and myself, and I’m hoping to head up north to do New England next time I’m out East. Probably won’t ever thru-hike, but I’d like to section hike it throughout a lifetime. In addition, we ran into Eagle while he was working on his third consecutive thru-hike in an attempt to complete a record double yo-yo. Much respect and luck!
