I suppose my biggest barrier to achieving this goal is kanji. ARGH. Why the Japanese decided to have 3 different character types I will never know…
My plan is to find an Anime that has relatively simple langauge and watch it without subtitles over a few times, until I can get the basic meaning. Then get the help of a dictionary to refine my interpretation and THEN look at the subs =). Hopefully I can get over my laziness to actually do this.
