...but the job/challenge is just beginning. A mentor/friend commented repeatedly how proud that he is of me for what I’ve been a part of and helped to accomplish.

Have found that I’m being invited to attend events, being asked for my opinions, etc.

Feel like I’ve come into my own once I decided what issues that I will spend my time on educating myself about & encouraging others to as well.

Too much "go along/get along" 3 years ago

Grassroots activism & politics is so rewarding. One person can really make a difference. And can impact so many others. It’s is just not acceptable to me to accept unsatisfactory situations/conditions w/o working for change.

I’ve been introduced as an ‘activist’ although I don’t really consider myself one…yet.
