The other day I was at Wal-mart with my grandmother and she was in a hurry so I was briskly walking back to the back to get milk. I had on a blue shirt and when I walked by and elderly woman mistaked me for a worker and ask me for help. She quickly realized her mistake and apologized. I have lived in the same town all my life so if she needed to find something I offered to help. She pointed about 10 yards down the aisle and said that her motorized wheelchair cart had broken and she tried to get to the front of the store but couldn’t make it. She asked me if I could go get another one for her, so I did. And when I came back she seemed so happy because she was unable to walk. I felt so good that I helped out this lady and I don’t even know her name nor does she know mine.

Last year, around April, a boy that ate lunch in his class after lunch came in the classroom before the bell rang to let us out for lunch. I knew who he was and knew he didn’t have many friends explaining his lunchtime spot. He was walking around showing everyone that his lunch was a big bag of M&M’s and a leftover chocolate Easter bunny. I asked why he didn’t have something different and he said that’s all he could find and his family didn’t have the money for groceries right now. Luckily, I had two 5 dollar bills in my back pocket and while he was talking to the teacher I slipped one beside his bag on a desk. Later I saw him walk into the lunchroom to buy his lunch, but he still doesn’t know where the money came from.
I’m going to consider this goal complete when I have 25 random acts of kindness although I will continue to commit them.
