I just read “Hannibal Enemy of Rome” by Leonard Cottrell. After reading Cottrell’s descriptions of Hannibal’s march to Etruria I am that much more enthsiastic about copying Cottrell and following his march through the Alps myself. His descriptions of scenery are compelling to this end. Someone fund this for me?... damn.
