Hooray! Daylight savings is coming! Time to start riding the bike and running again. Oh bright evenings, I’ve missed you so much! Yay for summer!

Boy was I lazy over the Christmas break. I ate and drank way too much, and hardly exercised at all. Now I’m back at work and have found ways to exercise without adding too much time to my already busy days. Last week I biked to work twice. It was great! It only took me about 10 minutes more than driving, so I fit in an hour of exercise by adding only 20 minutes to my day! I’m going to try to ride to work a few days a week during daylight savings. A few of us at work swim at lunch on Tuesdays and run on Thursdays, I’ve joined an indoor soccer team one day a week after work, did my usual Saturday run, and played touch footy on Sunday afternoon. After a week of this regime, my body is quite sore. I’m going to try the same routine again this week and see how it works. It’s exhausting, but fun!
The weather right now is fantastic one of the best ways to get out there and enjoy it is to go for a run, bike ride or swim. I feel great! My eating habits have also improved as a result of my exercising. I hope I can keep it up!
Just got back from an 8k run and I feel great! I’ve been quite good the last two weeks. Mostly running or walking, with a swim and bike ride thrown in for good measure. I’m getting some muscle back that I haven’t seen in ages but they sure are sore at the moment. This goal is a lot easier to work on now that daylight savings is here and summer is just around the corner. This is fun!
