get a better job

finally. on monday with acquent which is supposedly a prestigious creative employment agency.

also have an opportunity to be a creative director at a place where the bulk of the work is textbooks. I want to get away from children’s publishing. but I would also have some opps to work on their advertising projects. but the main job would be the (boring) textbooks.

get out of here. need to create my portfolio and resume. this is one of the worst jobs I’ve had. but in the meantime I will use this place for the resources: printer, scanner, mailroom, etc. it will be ok. please tell me it will be ok….

ok. I need to apply to all the advertising agencies in town even if they are not hiring. I need to look at the theme park websites and see if anything is listed. I WILL get something else. I hope to get the hell out of this town by this fall or winter so I need something in the meantime.

I just heard from that job I applied to. They hired someone else who was willing to take less money. Crap. I’m thinking maybe I should have taken the pay cut just to get OUT of here. I’m freaking out. My friend who works here is leaving in a month because she hates it. I can’t stay here without some support at least!

There are very few graphic design jobs to even apply to here. I want to just move out of this town. Sell my house and move to either New York, San Franscisco, Chicago, Portland… not sure yet! I get panicky when I’m like this…

I hate this job so much. I thought I might have gotten that job but that are not responding. I wouldn’t care that much but there are NO graphic design jobs to even apply to here in the Orlando area. or they pay squat.

this place is becoming more unbearable every day. it’s so badly managed I can’t take it anymore. what do I do right now?! I know I need to move out of this city, but I’m not ready yet.

I applied for a job and they liked me but told them I didn’t want to take a pay cut. I can’t make less money. have a mortgage to pay. waiting to hear back. have a feeling they will cheap out. oh well.
