This weekend I have hit some sort of reading low-point. My brain is so full of other people’s words, I feel like I’m drowning. Nevermind, I cry, take it back, I never want to read again!
I wonder how long this will last until I need another fix.
I have read 93 books so far this year.
I am not doing so well at this goal.
Edit: 94 books
The Wide-Awake Princess by E.D. Baker
Come Fall by A.C.E. Bauer
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
The Keepers’ Tattoo by Gill Arbuthnott
and Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes by Chris Crutcher
I’ve had not enough sleep, and way too much junk food, and haven’t spoken a word aloud to anyone except my cat. I’m past deadline on an art project—to the point of being terrified to check my email that the woman who was needing it has sent me an upset email. I didn’t pick up the prescription for my medicines today which means tomorrow I will have to drive to the pharmacy while feeling horribly ill. The dishes need washed. I need a shower… desperately. I need to do laundry. I need to eat a vegetable.
But all I want to do is start in on another title, and ignore the rest of the world for a few more hours.
I have a problem.
