I did pretty well 4 years ago

although I wouldn’t say I can “speak” Italian I sure was able to get around Venice and Florence, ask for anything I need (including one very entertaining trip to the pharmacist), and be polite and charming in general. Little books and language tapes rock! And now, perhaps a class so I can be a bit more expressive.
