i had some ideas earlier about things i would like to do, but the man and i had a big heart-to-heart last night about how we are keeping our home and what it reflects about who we are as a family. we both agreed that a MASSIVE decluttering and simplification in general was needed. we have three children and we need to combat the consumerism as early in their lives as possible, so i think my experience for may will most likely be achieving the simplest possible realistic existence for our family as possible. i am the primary homemaker so this mostly falls on me and it’s a big undertaking, but i think i’m up for it. here we go…

i’d like my overall new experience to be increasing my self confidence. here are some things that i want to do but somehow feel “someone else” should do them. here we go:
- be the one to finally start the crochet meet up in my area
- take charge of the home repairs, maintenance and yard work (why should i expect my husband to shoulder this?)
- start a walking group in my neighborhood
- plan an arbor day party for our neighborhood
i’m not sure why i find these goals a bit intimidating, but i’m tired of feeling that way.
i walked the 10k this morning that has had me training the past 10 weeks. i have never stuck with any fitness goal this long and i would definitely call crossing the finish line this morning a fulfilling experience. i’ve already signed up to do another walk in may. i didn’t know i had it in me.
thanx for the invite john lee!! i will have to do some thinking on this one. couldn’t have come at a better time!
