Okay, I admit, I’ve spent all my time here drinking in casinos. But I’m just like: People live in Las Vegas. How can this be? It’s an insane fantasyland. For the love of pete, I’m sleeping in a building that’s got a replica Sphinx on the front.

I haven’t been such a girly-girl in a long time, and believe you me, my feet are paying the price today.

Being optimistic

I’ve been Facebook chatting with a friend of mine from Singapore, whom I met travelling around China, and I mentioned how much I miss living out of a suitcase. It’s only the second week of school, but I’m counting the days (figuratively) until my next school break, which is in a little over a month. I’m hoping to use my school breaks to take trips-even if I have to stay in the U.S. (Poor me.) Being in New York made me realize that vacations actually do still count if they’re in my country.

I’ve been to a lot of states already-or been through them, at least-but I decided that I haven’t BEEN to a state unless I’ve stayed overnight in it. This means that I’ll have to repeat horrible states I hated (I won’t name names) but maybe they’ll be less bad. Here’s where I’m at so far.
