learn how to drive stick-shift

I managed to fend off my dad’s attempts for about 2 months. But I finally went out in his standard (in a parking lot. can’t immagine the trouble I’d get into on the road!) and I was a lot better than I remembered! I didn’t stall (that much XD). Just going from a stop is so hard. Still need some practice with that. Especially under pressure. I can see myself stalling when the light turns green. like every time haha.

quite frankly I am just NOT insterested right now. I think I understand the concept alright, but there is just soo much going on. The concept of driving a standard on the road scares the crap out of me right now. I’d rather just drive an automatic now, and once I get bored of it, I can tackle a stick. Wish my dad saw it that way…

oh man this must really be bothering me bcause I had another dream about driving with the stick shift (hahahahaha crazy stuff).
I was riding my bike down the street but I was going like 40mph (?? can that even happen) and I wasn’t even peddaling that fast. anyway I had to stop or turn or something and all the sudden there was a stick shift sticking out of the side of my bike and I couln’t remember what to do and I freaked out. Then I thought, oh I’ll just turn a bit and then I’ll stop (still don’t see the logic in that) and I just like crashed and fell over and then I laughed because that was a dumb idea. that was basically it. (except after all that I had to try to sell people milk, but instead of it being in jugs, I had it in HUGE plastic bags ????? $10 a bag.)

finally able to manage to shift (up) withour too much jerkage, but now it’s downshifting that’s crazy

AAAAH!!!!! SO HARD! I went out to a parking lot with my dad the other day. wow. I HATE THE CLUTCH! I can’t get the feeling of when the gears grab and ugh. bad. i hate it. and the steering wheel is kind of in the way of my clutch leg. kind of have to bend my knee at an odd angle to fit in alright. oh well. im sure it will get better…. i hope
