know where everything is!!

It is going to be so great to have a complete inventory of everything we have. To have the list, photos and know the value will be amazing!!! I can include in the inventory notebook where it is in the new place. There is a man in the small town where we live who has detailed notebooks of his houses. Where things are, how things work, schematics. I have always been jealous of these notebooks… but no more!!! I will have my own notebooks!!!!

This is actually going to happen in the next 4 months no matter how much I want to procrastinate so I am going to take it off my list… it just doesn’t make much sense in the scheme of things.

This is going to take years! I slog away at this goal a little every day…I am trying to come to terms with these facts—
1.This will not be finished this year—and it doesn’t have to be.
2.This took years to create-this mess took years to create and there were reasons to got in such a mess-not because I was negligent or lazy.
3.Working like the turtle instead of the hare is the only way I will ever get this done.
4.On my list of priorities it is high but there are many other urgent things that have to come first.
If I keep these things in mind this will start to be a goal I enjoy.

My father was right—A place for everything and everything in it’s place. If I can do this and have an index for all the houses I will be able to check this off. With 3 houses and alot of stuff this is going to take alot of time and require alot of effort but how exciting.

I really feel like I am starting to get the hang of some things-I think they are things I should have understood years ago and in some ways everyone would be shocked that I didn’t know them but whatever-better late than never. On this trip I know where everything is and I am traveling with my husband and two dogs and though I didn’t over pack like I normally do I still am going to be gone for 3 months and I am sooooo happy I am not insane from looking for things-I LOVE being able to lay my hands on something and havve my scheduale organized on my calender—so far, so good.
