this entry should be changed to eliminate bad debt. I’ve been learning a lot about what money it’s responsibilties and it’s inheriant dangers including saving for your future. I realize that not all debt is bad. But to be clear all rolled over Credit Card debt is very bad unless you are exploiting the extra low 3% introductory rates. I’m glad to report I have several CC but 0 amount due to credit card companies!

I’m still deep in debt but being in our city you just can’t live without a car. Mine is dying (black smoke) failed our local air care and many other things are going. The thing that pushing my reasoning forward is that every few months I need to do a repair. Surely it will double the amount I actually spend but at least I’ll have a car that will be good for about 10 years (depending on the quality).
Also my parents are in need of a car and it’s failing in it’s own way. so we have 2 16 year old cars that need to be replaced.
I ended up buying 2 saturns and now I’ve almost doubled my debt.
I count myself lucky tho, I have a great new job and not so much expenses + a lot of side jobs that should carry me foward.
at least I won’t have a car to worry about breaking down and my partner can finally drive it.. Yup it’s a automatic :(
about 4 years ago I did worksheet to see how much I really was ‘worth’ I was close to 60,000 dollars and not much to show for it. I had a car, some RRSP but not much else. even with it at most it would knock of perhaps 5,000. Recently as of 2k6 It’s current down to 48,000. I really wonder just how many people out there with there pretty cars and clothes really can say they are financially successful or just living up to an image they wish to project. I will do something to work down this debt and finally be able to say I’m okay.
