Taking risks is not about the risk, it is about how confident you are in yourself. I have been working on obtaining this level of confidence for almost a year. Finally, I feel that I can take this off my list. It wasn’t that I was afraid of risks, it was that I was not confident to take them when the opportunity arose. I feel that I am in general a risk taker, and I like that about myself. I will continue to take risks if I feel they are right for me.

I feel that I am a risk taker in everything, but social situations. Because I have been down some rough roads with friends and family, I will not take risks because of the chance that someone will not like me, think I am cool, or think I am popular. I will not take social risks because of what other people think of me. When I say social risks, I mean asking a girl out, making a move on a girl, asking friends to go to an event. I am not sure why. I think it is because I feel that I am going to get hurt again if I try to get close to someone because I have been hurt in my close relationships before. Any support will be well praised. Thanks
