I’ve been keeping my room clean for the most part, its my office room that is a mess! The computer desk, all all around it has papers everywhere. I clean it monthly but it gets messy really fast. I need to figure out how to keep it clean!

Okay. I admit that I am very spoiled. During school, my mother cleans and vacuums my room every two weeks, cleans my bedsheets, and does all my laundry. I’ve grown accustomed to it, it’s like free housekeeping services!! (Don’t tell my mom I said that though.) In all seriousness, it has made me VERY lazy, although I claim I have no time to clean because I am so busy studying. (Which is how I often feel, but considering the hours of time I waste online, I DO have time.)
The Solution: Maybe I should just tell her, “Mom. You need to stop cleaning my room. I can do it on my own.” Because otherwise, I’ll be screwed in college, and that means less stress for her. She’s the kind of person who NEEDS things to be clean, even if it means that she has to do the cleaning.
Hopefully that will work. Because a few days ago I was basically locked in my room with instruction that I must clean and vacuum or else I wouldn’t be allowed to go anywhere. So I did, and cleaned my bedsheets too, and I felt so accomplished afterwards. Plus I feel whenever I keep my surroundings clean, I have less stress, and more control over my school work. I work better in a clean, organized environment.
I’ll update you guys on my progress in a week or two. Wish me luck. :)
