become a better photographer

I found a great book that is clearly written and is helping to take the guesswork out of getting a great exposure. It’s called Perfect Exposure by Jim Zuckerman and I highly recommend it. I’ve also been wanting to buy a copy of Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson and I just found out that a new edition has been published that includes even includes some information that is relevant to digital work as well as classic film techniques. I hope to get a copy for my birthday. (hint, hint)

the winter blah’s, cruddy grey weather and the cold keep me from shooting much in the winter months. i’m hoping to have some softboxes by next winter so that i can do some indoor studio work during the worst weather. right now, i’m just waiting for the dappled sunlight and green to get me inspired.
