travel to europe

I’m wondering if I shouldn’t make a pact with someone to start saving for this now. I don’t know how much fun I would have, at least in the evenings, if I went by myself. Either way, I really think this goal is going to have to wait awhile. Maybe a nice 30th birthday present to myself?

Well I have no longer have any ties to this place. I’m single and my best friends are either in college or in Chile at the moment. So I’m starting to set my sights on London and then perhaps a train ride across Europe depending on whether I can afford the ticket.

It’s either that or go with the original plan of traveling to Florida, Vegas and California this year. I honestly don’t know what would be better since I should probably go to the places where I have a place to stay first. We’ll see. I’ll get out of here one way or another!

Sometimes I wish I didn’t have any ties here and I could just join some travel abroad program with the school I’m going to in the fall. It’d be a huge safety net going with a group of people and not to mention probably pretty fun. However, I can’t just up and leave the country now so I guess when I can go solo and I have some money saved up, I’m outta here for a year.
I’d just hate to never leave this country. I’d feel so sheltered.
