Just b/c I haven’t posted in a few weeks doesn’t mean I haven’t been watching my weight, exercising and eating correctly. Because I have. It’s really inspiring at this point and I’m glad that I did buy a bathing suit. All I need to do from now until May is to really tone my arms a bit more around the stomach. I’ll probably lose about 2 to 3 more pounds and I’m good to go. Wish me luck!

I’ve noticed that when one is traveling, etc, it’s hard to stick to the routine you had when you’re at home. I’m glad that I did a bunch of exercise the whole week b/f I got on the plane yesterday… I did bring my jumprope with me, but, I realized why I haven’t used it in a year… it’s too long and trying to adjust was such a pain… but I did jump for 20 minutes regardless—hey, some exercise is better than none! My boyfriend and I will likely go jogging tomorrow morning and Sun morning, but I’ll just be very careful what I eat the whole time I’m here… (Of course, I’ll have some In-and-Out fries… the visit would be incomplete without it!) :)
OK, so I had to get into the gym and out of the gym very quickly b/c I’m getting a delivery of groceries and stuff. In any case, I figured I’d do the elliptical. It takes a lot of energy, and at the end, I was very very sweaty, but I didn’t feel those nice aches in my legs like I do when I’m running (may be a nice thing!). I dunno. I know I did do a lot of movement for 32 minutes, but I don’t know exactly how many calories I burned. Oh, whatever.. at least I exercised! :) Mission accomplished for the day! :)
Wow. I didn’t believe I could do it, but I did. I ran on the treadmill for 46 minutes and ran 3.75 miles. The goal was to do at least 3 miles. I think I could have probably done a bit more if my leg wasn’t nagging at me telling that I already proved the point, that I could do it. My leg promised me that it will get me further as long as I stretch it more. LOL :)
But I am very proud of myself. That was a great work out! :)
It was SO tempting to stay at home tonight—- it was snowing, the wind was blowing sort of bad, I really wanted some Chinese food (breaking my diet!!!), and I wanted to stay warm. But I got off my butt, put on extra layers and took that 7 minute walk to the gym. I warmed up then walked fast on the treadmill for 50 minutes, jumped rope for 15 minutes, stretched and went home. I’m proud of myself! wooohoooo!!!
Bikini, here I come! :)
So, I took Sunday off so I could give my foot a rest and by Monday, I was in good shape.
So: Monday, 25 minutes of weights, 35 minutes straight running on the treadmill (woohoo!)
Tuesday, I stretched for 10 min, walked for 5 min and ran for 35 minutes
Today, I felt a bit tired so I just did my standard 25 minute weight thing. I walked for 10 minutes, then ran for 25 minutes and walked an extra 5 minutes.
So, for tomorrow, I will just walk, but for 45 minutes. I will try to find my hand weights and “pump iron” while I’m walking. IT will give my legs a bit of a rest from all of the running but still getting my exercise in.
So, I’m on track. It’s a hard thing to do, but I feel so good when I finish! YAY!
Finally ran for 30 minutes straight on the treadmill! Woohoo! :)
The only thing, tho, is that my Achilles tendon is hurting a little. I think it started when I was on the elliptical back on Thursday… it didn’t hurt yesterday… but today it does. Gosh darn it! Even more, I read, that women are more prone to getting this pain than men are.. and even more so if she wear high heels (I do everday at work) and has flat feet (and I do have flat feet).
So not fair!!
So, instead of running those errands like I was thinking about doing for the rest of the day, I’m gonna ice this bad boy, read a good book and worry about all of this stuff tomorrow. If I really want exercise badly tomorrow, I saw that the stationary bike is a good thing to do. I’ll see…
There’s no secret shortcut. Gotta continue the aerobic exercise and excellent dieting. So far, so good. I’ve lost 2 pounds this week and I’ve had really good workouts all week. I took today off because my leg wasn’t feeling that hot and I also needed a break. But I’ll be in there tomorrow! Don’t want to lose the momentum!
Oh, my goodness, so I am losing weight, which I am not complaining about by any means, but I still need to lose that belly fat, which is not that much, but I want to lose a good three inchess off my waist… wish me luck!
I think I can really do this… just gotta make sure I keep working at it… May 2007 is my end goal for looking good in a bikini. Just gotta keep at those abs… sigh…
