I have been caught up with unexpected pressures for the past two days. Well, I can’t say that as an excuse. But now I changed my study time to mornings, which means I have got more reasons to wake up early.

Completed today.
Was distracted a bit… not because the subject was boring… but because the room was cold and I hadn’t slept well last night. But I made it!
I have sort of made plans as to how many hours I need to put into this learning activity.
A minimum of 26.5 hrs is required (including a second revision), based on the study materials I have collated for the various objectives of this exam.
If I spend an hour daily for the next 3 weeks (Staring from 22nd Oct; excluding Sundays), then I should finish going through the material.
On 11th Nov, I’ll book the date for my exam and then I’ll start my revision from 12th Nov, and this should be completed well before 23rd Nov. This way I can write my exam on either 24th or 25th Nov.
I have printed out the study materials for the following week.
I got my MCAD.NET certification, 8 months ago, when I completed the following exams :
Exam 70–305: Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Exam 70–310: Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework
Exam 70–229: Designing and Implementing Databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
The future plans is to write the UPGRADE TO MCPD.NET exam:
Exam 70-551: UPGRADE: MCAD Skills to MCPD Web Developer by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework
When I complete the exam I’ll get the following two certifications:
1) Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: Web Developer
2) Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications
I would require a minimum of 28 hours of effort for preparation in an exam point of view.
Once completed I would also want to prepare in an interview point of view – as in by-hearting definitions and learning new terms and learning to answer questions in crisp and complete way.
That sound’s like a plan to me!
Any suggestions from you?
I have been studying .NET for a long long time now, but have not been working on this technology. So I thought I could do this certification to boost my self-confidence and also add weightage to my CV.
