I am still working on this. Meds and counselling help, but that are definately not a cure all. Hanging out with friends helps too.



Stressing 3 years ago

My stressing has been really bad lately. On Monday I bought a notebook of paper to journal with when I am stressing. It seems to help. When the stress subsides, it seems amazing to me that I stressed as much as I did.



I'm starting to learn the causes of my main stress 3 years ago

I went through a series of emotionally tramatic experiences about 3 years ago. I knew that this had sent me into a depression. I had worked through depression before and expected to be able to easily work through it again.

Three years later, I am still working pretty hard at it. Lately I realized some things while in group therapy. Because of the things that happened to me and my family, my relationships and friendships are no longer stable. I live moment to moment to an extreem. My world was so shaken that I have gone into protect mode. Yet in this protect mode I can barely function.

It is difficult to explain. If you have ever been totally tramatized then you may be able to relate to what I am saying.

I am now finally ready to start seriously working through this. At 1st the pain was too intense. There were losses of friendships involved, with people close to me. Interaction with these people were like being stabbed in open wounds. Time has now allowed those wounds to at least scab over. Now I need help treating the infection that has developed underneath.

Today was a pretty relaxing day. I felt a little stresses all day but VERY LITTLE.



Thoughts 3 years ago

I did not stress today as much as I usually do. I was trying to figure out why, or what was different.

I thought about my choices, before taking action. I did not really like the way I did all of the things I did today. But I did think about what I was doing and got quite a bit accomplished.

In contrast yesterday was very stressful. It seemed like I worried instead of thinking or reasoning. When things got out of control, I freaked out. When I eventually calmed down, I started thinking.



Suggestion from friends 3 years ago

I went to a home Bible Study tonight and asked for prayer concerning stress. My friends suggusted that I use music as a stress reliever. They know I play the piano, so they suggested that I take time to play the piano at home.

I will put effort this week into taking time to play the piano as a stress reliever.
