get to know my neighbors

I dont know if we’ll be here in 6 months so I’d say we know they neighbors we see regularly about as much as possible. I chat with the next door neighbors when I see them and one has even helped me make a repair to my car. It amazing how a neighborhood community can be beneficial. When I move I hope that I find other great neighbors.

last friday. I was very grateful. He happened outside when I had my head under the hood and was a lifesaver when it came to a few things that I couldn’t loosen by myself. I need to get him a case of beer now. I asked him what he preferred now I’ve got to make it to the store. It would be great to have this sort of relationship with all my neighbors but the reality is that we rarely have any opportunity to interact at all. I’m not really sure what else I can do to accomplish this. I may have to mark it as accomplished and accept that we will only know a limited amount of people around here.

He just stared at me…. Not exactly what I was expecting. I mean hello isn’t that far off of hola. I would have been happy with a spanish reply.

I think I’m kind of mad about it… I think I will torture him next time I see him and say “Guten Tag”

LOL. Ok perhaps thats not so neighborly but it takes a lot for me to be friendly. Things like that make me think I’m right for not being friendly. I know better but really but it was kind of weird.

I’ll go with the fact that I surpised him… he gets one more chance and then I’m on the to the German.
