I’ve been doing pilates a little for the last three weeks. This week I did pilates twice and walked a couple miles with a friend once. I guess I’ll do pilates again tonight, that will make 4x exercising this week. Better than a poke in the eye.

A couple months ago something weird happened to me after I did a short but intense workout (jumped rope.) It was called exercise induced anaphylaxis, yes, a serious allergic reaction triggered by exercise. As I said, strange and very scary. My doctor said it may never happen again, but then again, it might. There is no way to predict when. He also said I should carry an epi pen and use the buddy system when I workout, just in case. I don’t mind the epi pen so much, but I am a total spaz, and look so moronic when I exercise I would rather not have a “buddy” for my audience. In the winter I prefer to do a video or ride my bike on the trainer downstairs ALONE where nobody can see me all red faced and sweaty. And now I am afraid to. I’ve only worked out a handful of times since I made this goal, but I’m feeling so out of shape, I’ve got to think of a solution.
My exercise is patchy. During the summer I was running pretty regularly, but I’ve been out of it for a couple months. I’m going to get into a good winter workout routing now. If I can keep it up 3X a week for a month, I’m calling this goal done.
