I’d like a few 1-to-1 lessons to make sure I’m getting the most out of my daily and weekly practice. There’s a studio in town I could try – but I’ll wait until the baby is sleeping a little better and things are getting back to normal…



Didn't make yoga 8 months ago

But I bought an awesome stretching book called “Stretching”, by Bob Anderson. Some great variations in there, enough to keep my thinking and mixing things up for a while. I’ve realised I’ve been stretching too hard – if I go gentler on myself it hurts less, I get faster results, and I don’t get sore.

This morning... 8 months ago

... I got up 15 minutes early and stretched. I felt physically great afterwards, but kinda grumpy too. That tells me it’s working. I journalled about it on the train to clear my mind, and since then I’ve had a great day. I’d like to try that again tomorrow.

I’ve always done Pilates. The spiritual side of Yoga puts me off, but perhaps I should look at it again from a technical point of view. There is something in this idea of stretching and meditating that I want to revisit. I’m looking for fresh ideas.
