do volunteer work

ive been wanting to do this for a long time, but due to work, poor hours, motorcycle accidents and losing my home i was unable to find the time to do so, but lately ive been down in the slumps and figured it was because things were going so rotten, i believe ive ran out of karma points so maybe if i started to do good things again maybe good things will start happening to me again… lets see..

i got a second job now so i wont be able to do the volunteer work in the time ive allowed myself, so i decided to donate $100 to The Jimmy Fund, its for cancer research. im a man of my word and i did what i said i was gonna do. i still plan on doing volunteer work but when i have time, besides, habitat for humanity isnt doing anything over here right now i have to wait. but i feel really good about the donation i made

i went to the site of 3 houses this morning for Habitat For Humanity, and the foreman in charge of the operation was there along with another construction worker and they told me work was suspended for 2 weeks! this may conflict with the time i have left to finish this goal, so i will look for volunteer work elsewhere in the meantime but HEY…. i tried, thats all that matters, i WILL be there in 2 weeks to help with the houses, but for now i must do what i can to accomplish my goal.

so all went well at the orientation, were gonna fix a house that is close to my neighborhood, work days are tues-sat 9am-3pm, i plan to be there everyday buti may not be able to stay late on tues OR sat because of work, but wed thur and fri i will be there all day. i feel good about this :)

we had an orientation this afternoon for about a half and hour, there were several people there, more then they expected. there are 3 houses in a near-by location that they are working on. so i will show up on saturday, but i told them my best days will be wed, thur and fri because i have those days off, so this is good. it was a good day and it made me happy so here we go :)

so i called habitat for humanity yesterday, i didnt speak to anyone but i left my name and number on a voicemail, she called me this morning and confirmed what i had already written down, do thursday is the day, then i believe we begin next week. my goal will be to see this project through, im not gonna show up one day, do work, and never go back again and mark this off as “done”, if for some reason i cant finish the project then i will donate some $$$

im doing research on where to do my volunteer work and i found one locally, you may have heard of Habitat For Humanity, well there is one near by and there is an orientation seminar next week, i have too much in my brain right now and i cant remember EVERY-LITTLE-THING so i set a reminder on this thingie here to remind me, and if that fails then its up to you, and if you fail…then we ALL fail >:( frownie face!! frownie faces ALL AROUND!!!!

oh, btw the day is Thurs., February 28th @ 12:30pm REMIND ME!!!!

i just gotta make some calls and do this already!
