be a good supervisor

I’m a little annoyed that some of my “supervisees.” There seems to be a break down in communication, where some are giving messages to other supervisors rather than directly to me.

I feel I’ve been making good progress. I conducted a meeting last week that went well. The employees were appreciative of my help.

Today I handled a meeting very well. I am trying harder to pace myself better, and to stick to one thing at a time. Yeah, me!

I am a part-time supervisor in the education field. I have always wanted this type of job, and it is a great accomplishment for me. It is a tremendous amount of work. The employees I supervise have not had a supervisor in about 2 years, and some of them are 15-20 years older than me! There is a lot of work to do, I have to stop overwhelming and stressing myself out. I’m only one person and there’s only so much I can do in one day. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
