Week of January 11, 2009

This week hasn’t been the best week. I almost always manage to be 15 minutes late. What a deeply engrained habit I have. Well, I guess I’m starting over with this one.



Week of January 5, 2009

This week has been a good week. I have been on time for a majority of my work/appointments.



Very Good

Today, I was 30 minutes early for work, and I ran all my appointments on time. I’m trying a new strategy this week, and I hope to see some results.



Early

I worked two evenings this week, and I arrived early with time to spare.



On time

I was on time for work on Thursday and Friday.



On time today.

I was on time for work today. I surprised myself, considering I’ve been a little under the weather for a few days.



Can you say, PITIFUL?

ok, this week feels like a bust.
I did not reach my goal. I’m feeling under the weather, and that just didn’t help either. Well, tomorrow’s a new day. I’ll keep trying.



This week, I'm keeping track

This week, I’m keeping track of how often I’m on time for my work and appointments. My goal is to be 90% on time. If (when) I achieve my goal, I’ll reward myself. Keep you posted!



My issues...

I have a “morning” problem. I don’t like getting up early. And that’s really bad since I work mostly in schools! Many times I’m just not motivated to get up and go to work in the morning. I am often 15-20 minutes late in the morning. Since I have a tight schedule, that messes up my entire day! But once I finally get up and get to work, I feel better by 10:00 or 11:00. I feel sorry for the students I see in the morning!

I am “generally” on time for other activities and events, but I can make some improvements.

I generally like my work, but there are some things about it that I hate. I guess my issues are a combination of avoidance, stress, and boredom. I need motivation to get up in the morning.

I read a very good book: “Never be Late Again: 7 Cures for the Punctually Challenged” by Diana DeLonzor

I think I need to read the book again…perhaps it will sink in this time!
