There are parts of my apartment and office that I have avoided dealing with. I must have some real emotional attachment to it.

I’m continuing to clean out my home and office. I have made more donations, and sold some items on ebay.
I have made moderate progress, but I admit that I stalled out. I did manage to clean out and drop off items for donation this week. I’ll continue to work on redoing my filing system today.
I am working through my bedroom, and I’ve packed up alot of items for donation. It’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated over the 9 years I’ve lived in this apartment….and I did a major cleanout a few years ago. Stuff had managed to creep back in. But now, I have a different perspective. I am keeping the items that have positive significance for me, and support the person I have become.
I accomplished much at my office, but cleaning up at home has been tough. I think it may be emotional in nature, because it is very hard to work through my bedroom and get to the bathroom. I’ll try again today.
Today I began cleaning out a lot of old papers from my office. It was somewhat difficult to shred some old documents…There was a project I worked on for a few years, but it was not profitable and I had to abandon it. But I realized I had to let it go, and now I feel a lot lighter.
I have revised my plan, and I am on schedule to complete my physical part of SHED by January 3, 2009. I have identified several areas in my home and office to work on. Today: Cleaning out my magazines/journals, and books at the office. Cleaning out my clothing and accessories, and bathroom at home. Yes, I’ll be working on this through the holiday. It may sound a little extreme, but I’m desperate and ready for change!
My goal is to complete a physical SHED in my home and office environments by December 31, 2008.
I’m listening to the book a 2nd time. It’s good information. Because of this, my perspective on a lot of things is changing.
I purchased the audio book SHED Your Stuff, Change your Life by Julie Morgenstern. It’s a 4-step program to help you identify areas of your life that are holding you back, and how to shed unneccessary stuff. Sounds good so far. I’m hoping it will provide some more insight into my life.
