Played a little tennis the other day with my dad and brother. It was fun. I hadn’t played for many, many years.

I went for a sort of run/hike/walk. I went up and over the foothill, exploreed a bit on top and came back down. The weather was sunny and beautiful. I even took my shirt off a bit to take advantage of the Welsh sun. Lots of animals: sheep (of course) with their lambs, cows, their calfs and horses.
Unfortunately, I didn’t bring a camera. There were a few nice shots missed.
A nice ride. Exploring a bit through wet, muddy terrain, streams, sheep and horse excrement. I managed to fall too! Not in the excrement, though.
I went for a run this morning. I’m not sure how far I went. I was gone for an hour (including 15 mintues stretching time), but I wasn’t running the whole time. I had to navigate fences, 45 degree slopes, rivers, sheep and very wet and muddy terrain, which turned it into more of a cross-training outting. I slipped twice and my once relatively white running shoes are now brown and muddy.
At one point, I came to a 1 3/4 foot deep and 3 feet wide drainage canal with water running down the 20 degree slope. I contemplated for about 10 mintues whether or not to try and jump it. The ground was wet. I was on a declining slope. I took a few running starts to see how it felt. In the end I chickened out, climbed over a fence and crossed further down where some small tree branches had gathered like a small damn. I crossed there. In hindsight, I think I made the smart decision. After jumping some of the small streams on the way back, I don’t think I would have made this one.
I did my stretching on a wooden bridge over the river. Nice scenery for the end.
I plan to get my bike in order (clean the chain, etc and inflate the tires) and take it out a bit next week. Do some exploring. I hope it’s just not too cold.
Yeah right. They’re fun and inspiring to declare. Sometimes, they even last a few weeks. But in the end, they usually don’t last.
So, this is NOT a New Year’s resolution but simply a few things I hope to start doing come the new year.
With the changes the new year will bring, I hope to be able to do a lot more running and cycling.
I’m considering giving yoga a try. I probably won’t start this until around the holidays or after.
I have a feeling this would be good for me.
...very unfortunately fell by the way side. Due to events of the past weeks, this has become extremely difficult. What’s worse is that I’m even eating poorly, which I’m not really used to.
