Had to use youtube for workout videos because my grandkids were watching Ben10. I found a support site called sparkpeople so I signed up. I’ll see how it works.

I didn’t do that wonderfully last week. I did do some aerobics and I swam today. Rededicating myself this week.
OK, so I only ran one day, but I worked out 5 days. This week, I’ll run twice at least.
I’m planning to not try to do running any more than 3 times a week. I’m doing aerobics and abs on the other days. I feel so good today and I’m just a little sore. The tv stuff is great because I can try all kinds of workouts. Found a really good “no crunches” abs workout. Sticking with 30 minutes even though I want to do more.
I did the running today. The neighborhood that I live in is up against the Ko’olau Mountains, so I walked and ran up to the base of the hill. Then I could almost run all the way home. Saw someone else walking. I told him I was doing the couch-to-5k and he asked if I was training for a race. I said I was just trying to avoid a heart attack. I asked him back and he said he was just trying to make sure he could do whatever he wants, which I interpret as “have great sex”. Whew do I feel great.
I managed to do aerobics and an abs workout this morning. I discovered that my cable provider has fittv on demand. So I could just pick out the workout program I wanted. I’ll try to run tomorrow though.
So I googled “couch to 5K” and it really exists. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml So I downloaded it. I’m going to try to do it in the morning. I also looked at some other beginning running websites today, besides the swimming and dancing.
I swam for about a half hour today. I also danced to a really bad “Yo Gabba Gabba” song with my grandaughter. And I looked at an email about a 5K this weekend, but there is a limit to the number of entries, so I don’t think I can sign up. I’ll check tomorrow.
I can walk it.
I really dislike running, but my body is just in need of intervention. I’ll do this for a month and see how it works. I know it will be uncomfortable at first. I won’t give up. This is day one. I’ll find some 5K’s to sign up for. I know there is one on Sunday that I could walk.
