stick to my budget

i really need to stick to my budget. it’s not even draconian. it’s more just about discipline. every month, a grand to the savings. it’s totally do-able … if i just do it!

my budget skills suck. and forget about this month with the holidays. yeah, yeah, i know that should be no excuse. but i ain’t going to be a grinchy scrooge either. so this goal is on hold for the month, but starting january, i’m cracking the whip!!

in september, but i finally have everything put aside in little envelopes, according to category. i was also realistic, so it’s not a sparse budget, but certainly better than before. let’s see if this is helfpul.

thank you gifts, wedding gifts, us open tickets, bbq, etc etc. i try to stay within my budget, but unfortunately i am just starting this process so i don’t have a nice little extra cushion for these type of things that come up. so my budget is a bit of a mess right now for september. and it’s only september 3!! hopefully by the end of the month i can clean it up and start out good for october.

i hate budgets. i save not one penny. in fact, i spend more pennies than i have in my pocket! is it because i live in the city? because i am lazy? because i really am a status consumerist at heart? i don’t know. but this year is my year to be on budget. wish me luck!
