I’ve located two programs within relatively close distance to Cincinnati. The first is at OSU and is called the “Comparative Studies” program, wherein you work with a professor to pull together classes from multiple departments to make a cohesive subject. My kinda thing since I designed my own undergrad years ago to make a biblical studies degree although UC doesn’t have that degree. Some of the sample classes listed include things like “approaches to the study of religion” and “studies in world folklore” so it sounds promising. I wrote to them requesting more information and to set up, hopefully, a visit.
The second is the Department of Religious Studies at IU in Bloomington, IN. A bit farther away, and out of state, but seems to be a nice program with a fairly wide range and all. Have also requested more information from them.
