...for teacher training- and preparing for the other universities (this is my first choice one) I will make this much more important on my agenda but at the moment- it’s not really important to me… although it will be!

I’ve had some time away from this and I think one day this week I’m going to go and write a couple more thousand words to make it work a bit better. Eekers!
It’s on the back burner til my essay is completed but I like the way it’s going!!! :) eeeh!
My editor is EXCITED by it… I’m soooo pleased that it’s going well. :) Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh, I feel like dancing the feedback was that good!!!!
It’s up to 15,000 words now. I’m soooo excited by it. I will finish it by next September!!!! That’s the aim at least!
I’m back down to a ridiculously short amount of words for my novella… 7000 words and part of those feel like extra bones that need some padding and some strength. I’m not as confident as I was with it- but that was bound to happen. :) I’ve gotta submit 14000+ if I want to be marked on it for my research project sooo that’s another 7000 words to go… and they’ve gotta be good because my future pretty much rests upon them.
I’m not happy with it now… back to the drawing board. Something doesn’t fit right.
...to nearly have finished a long piece of work. It’s been a long time coming and I’m really enjoying it. Now I’ve got the long process of editing and speaking to my editor about what “doesn’t work”... which knowing Samuel will be an arduous process of semantics and umming and arrring over the minutest of things. I love that process sooooooooooo much. I get a real kick out of it.
He’s only been my editor on this piece and he scares me a little because he is so straight talking but I love that about him.
I can’t wait to get back to university so that I can start doing my work again and trying to get passionate about life and reading and writing. It’s soooo exciting to finally feel the pace picking up again. Deadlines are looming and life feels normal again.
This year the pressure for publication is on as we all fight for the same junior slots. We all need the experience and we all want the same jobs or postgrad positions when we finish… it’s when students become vicious little gremlins. Oh how I love it. :)
I added another thousand words to it… I may be onto something. Here’s hoping anyway!!!!!!!!!!! I’m actually still excited by it!!!!
I need to get back to this- rather seriously in the next week or so… otherwise I run the risk of not making publication deadlines for next year. Gahh!
