write letters to the people who have inspired me

Signed a big Christmas card for the troops, saying how much we miss them and sent them good thoughts. Felt nice to do that. They had a booth at the fair where you could do this, why not?

My mom is cancer free now (YAY!) but is still doing chemotherapy. She started losing her hair, not a whole lot but we knew it was inevitable that she would most likely lose all her hair. My mom decided to shave it off and get it over with. She found out about a hair dresser who is a cancer survivor and offers to shave cancer patients hair and give them wigs all for free! And she saved my mom’s hair to send off to soak up the oil from the recent oil spill (hair dressers all over the nation are doing this). I don’t write many thank you notes but this woman deserved one for sure, I just popped it into the outgoing mail. I think it’s great that she has used her skill to help many people and the earth. I told her we need more people like her in the world.

I like getting feedback from people on different things so I thought writing to people who’ve inspired me is a good goal.

There’s a whole gamut of people I could write to:
-teachers
-writers
-political figures
-documentary makers
-stars of TV shows

Currently I want to write to the people from Operation Repo. I LOVE that show! The Duggar family too, I want to know how on earth she manages to control 19 kids, they seem very well behaved. I’m also going to write to Richard J. Machowicz, a Navy SEAL who wrote an inspirational book I’m reading called “Unleash the Warrior Within.”

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.
