OK, so I know a fair bit of French. I can survive across the Channel fairly well without too many raised eyebrows when confusing my genders(!) and, if truth be told, I love the place and the people there.
But my French is far from perfect and I struggle over the imperfect and subjunctive verb forms. As a result, have gotten hold of the Pimsleur French Course CDs (really good stuff btw). Starting from the very beginning (course 1) and working my way up to the end of course 3. By which time I should hopefully have ironed out some creases! Then, who knows: Italian, French?...

Have decided to start at Japanese again and enhance my French. Most courses in London seem ridiculously expensive though so am still looking around. In the meantime have found a good resource: could be useful. http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/e/index.html

...I speak a fair bit of French, from school and also from friends afterwards. I use it a bit but not nearly enough. I learned Spanish for about a year and have only used in basically on holiday in Spain. I started learning Japanese 18 months ago but never got beyond learning a couple of syllabaries – guess I just needed someone to practice on (?!). Apparently Icelandic is a beautiful language to speak – I’ve heard it spoken: it really does seem just like “breathing”. Would love to have a go.
