I haven’t actually been relearning the piano… I’ve just been writing songs on it. I guess in a sense I am relearning though, because I’m slowly remembering more chords. The only problem is that I still haven’t remembered how to read sheet music.
I taught myself how to play guitar about 13 years ago and to this day I can’t read music, so I’m not sure exactly how much it really matters… But, I WOULD like to know what I’m playing while I’m playing…and possibly even write my music down instead of just playing it.

I just moved into a new apartment with my girlfriend. We plan to bring her piano from her Father’s house here at some point. When we do, I think I might take this a little bit more seriously.
I’ll always have my guitar, but I can’t wait to start writing songs on the piano again… It will make me feel like a more established musician and possibly boost my self-esteem a bit.

I sit within 10 feet of a piano for the majority of my time. Yet I never touch the thing. The last time I played was over a year ago and I wrote a really bad intro to an existing song I had written on guitar.
I just wish I could reach music again. It would make this so much easier.
I mean, I remember basic chords and stuff, but looking at the notes is like looking at another language. One day, if I actually decide to take lessons again, hopefully something will click and all the information will poke it’s head out again.
