Sunday morning stroll 3 years ago

Brian and I took a nice, long walk around the neighborhood. There was a nice detour in a small wooded area that provided some good photography fodder. Nice pictures to be sure, but my legs are a little less than thrilled that I was crawling around on the rocks. Of course, that just tells me that I need to be crawling through the woods more frequently so that I’ll be less achy after the fact.

I work at a beautiful location. My complex is surrounded by trees and hiking trails. It almost feels wrong to not take time out of my day to walk around the campus.

I love Botanical Gardens 3 years ago

I had a nice walk at Aldridge Gardens today. Brian and I walked two laps around the lake. Along the way we saw five sunbathing turtles and one meandering crane. The scenery was a bit drab and contrasted with today’s spring-like weather. But I bet the place is going to be beautiful in the Spring and Summer.
