Do NaNoWriMo

My life is even MORE crazy an I am trying to relocate and get employment during October. I have no idea what November will bring, but I am ready to launch in again. I’m going to go without an outline and find out where my new life experiences take me.

I haven’t been able to sit down to write for several days now. However, I do not walk away from this goal empty-handed. I started development of a character and discovered within me several plots I’d like to work on. The main purpose of NaNo was achieved, which is accessing the internal creative fountain.

I do still plan on reattempting this next year.

When they are drunk, in the middle of sex (for really interesting stories), or in some other situation in which it is not convenient to write them down? These are generally the times when my guard is down and the internal editor is quiet. How can I harness that in circumstances more conducive to creativity???

I just read the rules and, since outlines are allowed, I think I’ll spend the next couple of weeks working on one. I have no plot ideas. I think I’ll just start off with one underdeveloped character and see what happens. My time will be tight since I have a full-time job and I’m in a play that opens on Halloween, but I don’t think I’m going to be any less busy next year. I might as well see what I can do when pushed to NOT be a perfectionist and take everything I do so seriously.
