be a good father

Okay so I’ve got 14 months in so far and things are going great. My son Shawn Christopher Kennerly is healthy, active and a “daddy’s boy” all the way. He’s walking now and talking to my fiancee and I in his language. He’s a very happy child and very smart. My lady and I take very good care of him as well as plan for his future. I believe in discipline, but only to an extent. I don’t restrict him from exploring. He’s new to this world so he’s going to touch things and now that he’s walking he’s all over the place. In addition to his development my lady and I just had another baby boy on May 16, 2009. Justin Alexander Kennerly. Now we have three boys. Jamarr is 4 and I feel like I’m doing well with him. But as far as Justin goes I’m back to the long nights, but loving every minute of it. NO LIE!! As I said its a work in progress.

My 1st born son, Shawn, turns 2 months on the 26th. So far I think that I have done a great job. I can handle everything that comes with being a new parent. One day I had him by myself and I was asked was I scared to have him without his mother around. I answered “No! I am just as capable as she is – if not more equipped – to care for my son. I have a ways to go, but I am ready.
