I got me some shin splints!

So i had a break from running today. I also find my arm to be aching and painful today.Not sure why unless i’m over swinging it when i run and this conjures up images that if i was too vain would put me off for good. At the gym there are mirrors in front of some treadmills but i always made sure to run without one. I can’t imagine how someone could ever feel comfortable watching themselves run.



As I'm starting...

my new job soon (hopefully) I don’t think I’ll be able to carry on with the gym. I’m not too bothered about this in fact it’s quite a relief. While I started the gym on such a high, it now feels like a chore. It eats up into weekend time and the children’s bed time and I feel guilty when I don’t go so it’s actually causing me more stress then it’s relieving. So for the last week or so I have been getting up at 5 and heading off for a jog. I’m finding this a much more natural environment and it’s so quiet that I can wander the roads at my leisure without having to wait for traffic lights etc. Also by getting up so much earlier I am managing to be 100% more organised, which I am thoroughly enjoying. By getting the exercise over with in the morning means it’s not hanging over me all day and I can relax a little. I do admit to having the odd slip up eg turning the alarm off and going back to sleep, but I will carry on with this.



I'm finding it...

too easy to put off exercise til tomorrow or the next day. By doing this i’m finding myself sink lower and lower into despair. For this reason i have decided to change it to exercise every day. I went to the gym on Friday and after a day in the dumps it was like a magic pill. I left feeling happy and vigorated so this is definately something i need. Plus i get to lose a little weight.

Just lately

I’ve been making a point of going every other day. I’m finding this to work as every ay gets a little much and every few days puts me on regular downers. Every other day gives me some structure. I’ve also been working a lot harder on my stomach. That’s my most problematic area and it probably always will be but i’ll try and keep at it.
