Since i’ve added this goal a year and a half ago, i have made some progress which i believe has cleared up my skin. For one, im no longer picking the skin on my lips, and im learning to manage my eczema better. I have also made a habit of taking off my make-up at night (I can’t believe i went to bed with a days worth of grime and make-up on my face every night), and i have begun using a skin care range of cleaners, exfoliator and moisturizer which i have been using every day. It seems to be helping because the people around me, especially my boyfriend, have been commenting on how good my skin looks at the moment. Weehee!

I spent this past week on holiday at the beach. I try to go swimming in the sea as much as possible while im there. I find that the salt water really helps my skin. Both in healing/clearing up pimples and eczema! Its such a shame i live 2 hours away from the coast. =(
My parents once suggested that when i go down the coast, i should fill up a large bottle with the sea water, then take it home with me to wash my face with. Its worth a try, but I’ve never actually done it. I should really do it next time i go!
I’ve added another goal to my list that i hope will help with this one: Stop going to bed with my makeup on.
I’ve noticed, even in this short time, that my skin looks and feels a lot better when i take my make-up off at night. I will endeavour to keep doing this, and stop just being lazy! It only takes me 30 seconds! =)
I’ve written myself a list of things i can do to improve my skin:
- drink lots of (even MORE than usual) water
- take off my make-up every night
- drink more green tea
- get more sleep
- dont pick/squeeze/touch my face – replace this action with putting eucalyptus oil or tea-tree oil on my pimples instead
- take fish oil capsules more consistently
- use the skin cream i have more consistently
- get outdoors more
- get more exercise to sweat out toxins/impurities and aid in circulation
- stress less
They’re fairly simple things when you really think about it…
Wish me luck!!!
I think part of the problem i have is that i am constantly touching/rubbing/picking at my face.. i really gotta work on this if im to stop spreading bacteria and stop creating scars/scabs
This has been an ongoing fight/goal since i first signed up here. I’ve always had sensitive skin (ie: flares up in either pimples or rahes with chlorine, chemicals, allergies to food products, and lots of additives in many supermarket moisturisers, make-ups and beauty products.
But at the moment its the worst its been in ages! I think its a combination of hormones (it always flares up around that time of the month) and the stress of assessment week at school! Argh! Its frustrating that these are things i cant so easily control.
