Sometimes in life things happen and then things take a turn for the worse, which was my problem. Though I’ve gained back a little of the weight I’ve worked so hard to get rid of…I haven’t given up, I won’t give up…just gotta get back on the program…I will succeed!!

I Want To Be A Loser 8 months ago

Weight loss to Date: 30.5 lbs and still going strong.

I Want To Be A Loser

Oh, how I struggle each and every day,
To lose some body weight in a healthy way.
I’ve struggled since I’ve been a teen,
Wanting to be sleek and lean.

But many times I would start and stop,
I’d throw up my hands and want to get off.
But I’m determined to lose this weight,
Not just to look good, but for health sake.

A long road a head, but if I stick to my guns,
Not only will I be walking, but I’ll be able to run.
I’ll be able to do more things, than sit on my tush,
So I gotta keep going and push, push, push!

Still Losing 8 months ago

Beginning weight 249 lbs. Today’s weight 221 lbs.

Weight loss to date (since Feb 13) is 28 lbs and I’m still working on losing more. I find it easier to only look at losing 10lbs at a time instead of the over all weight that I want to lose. First goal weight was 240 lbs…second goal weight was 230 lbs…third goal weight 220 lbs…etc, etc. I have reached 2 of my weight loss goals and 1 pound away from my third and then on to the fourth.

I keep a pic in mind of me sitting on my Harley (that I don’t have yet) where I’m weighing 135 lbs.

I did manage to get myself back on track and I’ve stuck with it. Weight loss to date (since Feb 13) is 22 lbs. I have fallen off the track a few times, but have gotten right back on it. I have the ‘determination to succeed’. I’m feeling good and have more energy.

Back On Track 10 months ago

I made up my mind to lose this weight once and for all. I’ve been on a sensible healthy diet and exercising since Feb 13, 2009. Total loss so far 11.5 lbs. I feel great, my BSL (Blood sugar level)is down. I gave up my Dr.Peppers. I made a list of ‘eat only’ foods and I’ve been sticking with it. The diet I chose is a 1500 calorie diabetic diet. I get excited every time I lose another .5 lbs. I am motivated, excited and happy with the loss so far.

I fell off the track on this too…try, try again until I totally succeed!!!

Whew!! I'm Back on Track 11 months ago

I only actually messed up one evening, but got right back on track the following morning. I’ve got the determination to succeed…and I WILL!!

I’m still more or less going by a 1500 calorie diabetic diet, some days I have a tad more, some days I have a tad less…but it’s all healthy foods. Some people may find this boring, but you gotta know how to spice it up! I eat 5 times a day (3 meals, two snacks) and I’m never hungry. I drink lots of water and drink crystal light, which barely has any caloies at all. Freeze the crystal light and you’ve got a popsicle anytime…yum, yum!!

There’s also sugar free jello for extra snackage…

I’ve discovered Kiwifruit…yum. Never had it before, but I like it.

The damage to my little mess up was minimal and fixable…like I said, I jumped right back on track…

Messed Up 11 months ago

Yep, I messed up Saturday evening…but, no worries…I’m right back on it….

Week 1 - Lost 7lbs 11 months ago

Through eating healthier (On a 1500 calorie diabetic diet), eating a good breakfast daily (most important meal of the day), exercising (including lots of walking)and just plain out keeping busy….I have lost 7 lbs this week.

I am keeping in mind that my aim for weight loss is 1 – 2 1/2 lbs per week. A 7lb weight loss, although good, is not going to be a standard weight loss every week. If I just lost 1 lb this week, I would have reach my weekly goal, but I’m not gonna fuss about losing extra poundage….SMILE!!
